West Virginia Keeps Getting Better

Had an awesome weekend in West Virginia again at the New River Gorge. I sent a few 5.11s and a bunch of 5.10s and climbed some of the scariest routes ever. We spent Saturday night enjoying the beautiful scenery of Summersville Lake and swimming. This is how i saw it...

It's Been Awhile

I got further toning some images from my last shoot. I haven't gone back to shoot yet, but i will be this week. There's a lot more i need to get for this project.
Saturday was quite a fun day. Spent the day outside enjoying beautiful weather and being surrounded by fuzzy caterpillars.

These Bible thumpers came into Athens last week and preached damnation, we're all going to hell, God hates homosexuals, they have the right to judge us, and there is no hope for us. It was a pitiful thing to see on campus. People that are trying to promote a religion of love and hope by preaching hate and generalizing, pointing there fingers and throwing their bibles at everyone who has questions or doesn't believe. That's gonna make everyone convert right?! But I got what I wanted to show from this, Christians pointing their fingers at everyone else while standing on their pedastol. THAT ISN'T WHAT GOD IS ABOUT! Hopefully someday they will understand and hopefully they didn't completely turn people off to a wonderful thing.

You think you've got it bad?

Today made me realize how much I take for granted and how my problems in life really aren't that big of a deal. At least i can walk, speak, and take care of myself. I don't have to rely on anyone to do the simplest of tasks like bathing, drinking, or eating.
I started shooting my story on this hospice patient today. It is honestly hard for me to look at a lot of my pictures. I've never felt this emotionally troubled with shooting anything. I'm going to be working with this family until the end. This family consists of a 96 year old woman with dimensia and her daughter who lost her husband in february and trying to make it through her last days. The Appalachian Community Visiting Nurse Association has been working with them and helping them deal with everything and is who hooked me up with them. I'm asking anyone who is willing to pray for them and myself to make it through this.
