Education Slowdown Threatens US for The Wall Street Journal

A couple weeks ago I got to help illustrate a larger story for The Wall Street Journal that talked about how the recent generation twenty-somethings is no longer more educated than their parents. High unemployment rates and rising college tuition are causing more people to explore different options to enter the workforce. For my section of the story, I photographed Mary Brown, who had decided to bypass college and get an associate degree in massage therapy after seeing her friends' outrageous college debts. After trying to make it in California with her husband, David, they were forced to pack up and move back to familiar territory in Chicago. More on the story here.
