The Caregiver
Finally met up with a grower in Northern California. He grows to support his fiance, who suffers from MS. She is able to walk with the use of medicinal marijuana, but is unable to grow the proper medicine herself. They recirculate their excess medicine through different dispensaries and clubs, and give away medicine to people in serious need. They want people to have their medicine and get it safely, and also being able to pay for their food and other bills.

More on San Francisco
Well I've been in the greater San Francisco area for the past week and been having a great time. I've been filming in a few different dispensaries and doing a lot of interviews. Should be doing some more interviews with a lawyer, a doctor, some more patients, and a grower in the next couple days. We're desperately low on money so trip may need to end a little early but hopefully some good news will come through. Any donations are welcome! But anyway here's a few shots from the week. Still a ton that I have to go through though.

Yootaw
Well I started my road trip on Saturday to go out west. Drove 27 straight hours to Provo, Utah and stayed with James Roh. Spent two nights there. On our 1 full day, we went into the mountains, hiked in through snow and 20 degree weather and spent sundown until midnight in 110 degree hot springs. I love Youtah. After that we hit the road and drove 12 hours to Sacramento, and am currently in San Francisco. Gonna hit up Santa Cruz tomorrow.

The Good Earth Farm Final
The Good Earth Farm from dan krauss on Vimeo.
Here is the final cut of the Good Earth Farm piece (at least for now). I hope you enjoy.
Medical Marijuana in Dayton Ohio
This is a patient suffering from years of domestic abuse, struggling with horrible scoliosis, arthritis, and nutrient deficiencies, among other ailments. Medical marijuana, whether it is smoked or eaten, cuts out 33 of her 78 pills a day that she would normally have to take. Throughout an average day, she has pain levels in the 8-10 range, which would usually be treated by oxycontin or morphine, horribly expensive and addictive drugs. Because of Ohio state law, she is considered a criminal for using a medication that is affordable, non-addictive, and extremely beneficial.
This is the beginning of a large project. More information can be found at waitingforthesmoketoclear.com

Recent Multimedia
Here's a little multimedia piece I did after I got back from the workshop. It's been crazy trying to catch up with everything, but totally worth it. Thanks to everyone I met at EAW this weekend!
