New Camera

finally got my D300 and now have no excuse for shooting crappy pictures. i finally have a camera that focuses correctly, doesn't blow out highlights, and i can shoot over iso 500 with. both of these shots are from the Gathering Place at iso 1600. i've got a couple story opportunities in the works now so hopefully i'll have some good updates soon.

Saturday Wanderings

Saturday morning turned out to have quite a surprise for me. It was a beautiful day with wonderful clouds and blue skies. I went out searching for a place that I'm trying to do a story on, and ended finding the fairgrounds with a few people training some race horses. They were riding them around on these weird little cart things called "sulkys." I love shooting at farms and farmers are always the nicest people.

Spring Break and First Week Back

This weekend was spent in wonderful Hawk's Nest at the New River Gorge in WV. The weekend turned into quite the disaster but it was a ton of fun. We all slept in a puddle, which was supposed to be a dry tent.

Spring break was spent in the beautiful mountains of Rocktown, Georgia.
